In today's Church we are seeing the rise of the popularity of the doctrines of the 4th Century heretic Pelagius: the denial of Original Sin, the non-essential nature of grace, Jesus is just a moral guide, etc. In Part 5 of this video series I continue to answer the common objection that God does not hold others culpable spiritually for another's sin by showing how the contemporaries of Jesus, the scribes and Pharisees, were held accountable for the blood of all the prophets in the whole of the Old Testament. Finally, I begin to show that death actually came to all men by the one sin of Adam and not that there was some sort of influence to sin and consequently death to "all accountable people" because of his sin. This series only addresses the responses of Kerrigan Skelly and those at Refuting Calvinism which they have given to this one verse, since in order to soundly interpret the rest of the cited passage, one has to first rightly understand its introductory statement in verse 12. I hope this series is helpful to you!! NOTE: All cited passages are taken from the UBS: Greek New Testament, 4th Revised Reader's Edition (translations provided by myself); my Lexical source is A Greek Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature (Bauer, Arndt, Gingrich) 4th Revised and Augmented Edition, 1952.
